MiseTings "Betrayers" Competition - Winner Announcement

At last, the MiseTings Betrayers of Kamigawa article competition has come to an end. The competition was announced about three weeks before the release of Betrayers, providing ample time and material for MiseTingers to work with. While many articles, as expected, focused on the Japanese flavor of Kamigawa Block, others, including the eventual winner, picked alternate paths to the funny.

Gaming magazines have always had an inconsistent history. First was The Duelist, the magazine best associated with Magic: The Gathering. Then Scrye was released, boasting its large amount of flawed secondary market prices. Finally, an entire entourage of gaming magazines: TopDeck, Inquest, Dragon and Caedere's Furry Quarterly. Duelist was eventually phased out, leaving the market with Pokémon infested articles and relentless Yu-Gi-Oh! previews.

AutoErrata™ Receives Mixed Reviews

The brand new Magic: the Gathering Online technology, AutoErrata™, having just completed its Beta testing, received mixed reviews from testers. Many complained of the randomness caused by the instant modifications of cards, but Wizards remains stolid in pushing for its release.

I haven't played Magic since the CoK pre-release. I just haven't cared. After Mirrodin, I wanted something new and fresh, something exotic, something so wondrous as to make me moist just by shuffling. What I got instead is something that is exotic in the same way as chlamydia. The only reason I'd be moist over the Chimchanga of Kalamari block is because an infection returned in force.
