Mouth's Tragic Suicide Felt by Magic Community

By: Arc - April 05, 2002

When a pro player is banned, it means his or her public life is officially over. They become trapped within the dungeon beneath their parent’s abode, never to rise up for a true job. “Yer shit” swiftly becomes the only epitaph worth using upon these forsaken mages. It’s easy to see why such acts by the DCI can so easily drive players past the brink.

Joe “Mouth” Kambourakis took his own life on March 23rd as reported by his friends at Team Academy. It's unclear exactly how his untimely death occurred, only that he took it himself. It's presumed he administered savage beats straight to his own dome before going 0-3 at life and scooping. The deck he was using might have also been altered. Kurt "Fatman" Hahn graced our presence not too long ago to inform of us this terrible disaster. Who knew how fast the aftershocks would ripple through the online community?

No one felt this tragedy more than the members of Casual Players Alliance. An obvious n00b known as "theorgg" was the first to break the terrible news. Some members were skeptic at first while others, such as TylersOnFire, were so shocked that it literally confused them. Gizmo, a self-proclaimed "alcohol-fuelled ass-whoopin" machine, offered a different, stupider scenario. Deflected rage indeed.

Though its quite possible Mouth's damned soul may be resurrected by the powers that be in the spring of 2004, this might be the end of his antics. May he rest in peace and forever mise hard.
