Early Monday morning, Mark Rosewater drew some concern from the Magic: The Gathering community by making several cryptic remarks. Usually intended to give the Magic players of the world a glimpse into the world of R&D, this week's "Making Magic" was instead filled with obtuse statements that have worried many players.

"New card face doubleplusgood," begins Rosewater's latest article. "Evil foreigners unbellyfeel Magic. Wizards loves Magic players- plusprotect from unfun of other games."

At the end of the article, Rosewater revealed Wizard's new motto:

COMBO IS CONTROL
WHITE IS GREEN
CRAP IS PLAYABLE

"Wizards cares about Magic players," agreed plusperson Mark Gottlieb. "It is the way of Magic to always do as its public wishes. Remember, we are a democracy. The evil empires of other games might rotate out favorites or be unresponsive to polls, but not Wizards."

When asked about the Eighth Edition rotation, Gottlieb had to say, "Counterspell? Disenchant? Llanowar Elves? Uncards. I don't understand your question. Things that were never cards cannot be rotated out."

"Remember, Big Buehler is watching."

Anthony Alongi would only respond to our questions with a brief statement. "Unfortunately, I am only an Outer R & D member. I am not as good as the Inner members and unworthy of comment."

"I uncare about the new card face," commented plusplayer Zvi Mowshowitz. "As long as I keep plusdefeating these scrubby proles, I am doublehappy."

Worried that Zvi may be getting too smart for one outside the Party, Wizards R & D are rumored to have dispatched the thought police.
