Magic Online Gamer Goes Day Without Complaining

By: Tengen - August 07, 2003

MTGO gamer magpiesmn shocked the entire online Magic community this last Thursday by going an entire day without pointing out 'obvious bugs,' 'horrible players,' and 'wizards fuking us over every chanec they get LOL.'

Although he spent an entire day drafting and playing Onslaught Block Constructed, magpiesmn was a noble victor and even gracious in defeat to every one of his opponents. Reports vary, but apparently magpiesmn lost to cards as bad as Crown of Vigor and Elvish Pathcutter without belittling the skill of his fellow drafters. And after beating a player new to block constructed he was polite and even helped explain why Aurification is a bad deck idea.

after a very unlikely bad beat.
Magpiesmn also managed to stay out of the Customer Support chat room the entire day. "He didn't come in here once!" said a dumfounded Adept_Zim. "I was so used to magpie pointing out minor interface issues and design issues, stuff that Adepts can't do anything about anyway, that I thought he had finally stopped whining and just quit. But he was back on Friday asking us to do something about his opponent's 'slow play.'"

No one is more surprised than magpiesmn's fellow MTGO users. "This is totally unlike the magpie I know," explained MTGO's Karolis. "During the 8th prerelease he branded me a cheater and a bug exploiter when my Emperor Crocodile out survived the rest of my team. Yeah, like the noble thing to do would have been to leave the bugged Croc out of my deck, or something..."

"Magpiesmn seems to think that Magic Online is the worst game ever," said regular auctioneer HawkOfDeath. "Wait, what am I saying, 'seems?' He spams it all the time in the auction rooms. Except on Thursday. Guess he must have gotten laid or something."
