Selecting 10th Edition: Island vs. Mountain

This week it is up to you to decide which broken land makes it into 10th edition!
Speaking for the Mountain: Mark Rosewater
Mountains are a brilliant combination of design and style! They're red (well, colorless, because I was told colored lands might be a bit confusing) like real mountains, they are often used for energy purposes (mana!), and lightning bolts tend to hang around them. What's not to like? Besides all the bodily harm, that is?
Ah, just talking about mountains make me passionate about them, as red is the color of passion! And anger, and violence, and stupidity. That reminds me of my time working on Roseanne. Now there's a red show, filled with all sorts of randomness and violence. Everyone was also very impulsive. Yes, those were the days.
... but back to the vote. Red good. Red like smash. Vote Mountain, so red can stay in the delicious color pie!
Speaking for the Island: Mike Flores
Islands are broken. First turn, lay one down, it gets you one mana of the best and most broken color ever. Blue is the color of the best burn spells (Psionic Blast), the best creatures (Meloku), card draw (Fact or Fiction), permanent control (Upheaval), and yes, even counters (Force of Will). Is there anything blue can't do? Well, it's going to be pretty hard (even for blue!) to make much of an impact where Islands don't exist, which is why you will vote for blue.
Besides, most of you come here because you want to get better at Magic, and often those same people wish to become as good as the pros. Those people copy everything the pros do, and the pros do whatever I say. Why? I'm Mike Flores and I am the mastermind behind every good deck, even those decks made by other people.
Pick the best choice. The right choice. Mike Flores's choice. Island.
(Besides, if you pick Mountain, you're endorsing red, the symbol of communism. You wouldn't want to be a communist, would you?)
