that's right, the :claw: is in wellington for the nationals! but unfortunately, for the first time in 5 years, he won't be playing this year.

it's not from being unqualified, oh no, it's more of a finances thing. so in order to actually get to the event and actually stay somewhere other than the pavement outside the venue, or on his baby brother's floor, the :claw: sold out to "the man" and agreed to be his level 2 judge self instead.

still, it sucks not to be playing... :(

last time the nationals was held in wellington, the :claw: stayed in this building, known as "the downtown backpackers". not too bad really, but still a lame-ass backpackers.

and the nationals events were held in this historical building known as "turnbull house". also not bad, but because the rooms were kinda small, the play was spread out across 3 floors...

this year, the nationals were held here at "the hotel intercontinental".
