Terrible Tech: My Big Black Deck

By: Veers21 - December 05, 2001

Around where I play My Big Black Deck is the talk of the town. Everyone has seen it and everybody loves My Big Black Deck. It's really quite a beating. Whenever there is a tournament I whip this baby out and watch the little kids cringe in fright of My Big Black Deck. I use big scary creatures to blow away my opponents before they know what happened. Here's what's in My Big Black Deck.

4 x Nightmare
4 x Devouring Strossus
4 x Volrath the Fallen
4 x Avatar of Woe
4 x Phyrexian Scuta
4 x Bog Elementals
4 x Delraich
4 x Spineless Thug
4 x Dark Ritual
24 x Swamp

The Spineless Thugs are in there to show a comparison of how much bigger the creatures in My Big Black Deck are then in everyone else's deck.

One of the problems with a Big Black Deck is it takes up a lot of space on the table...cause of all the creatures. It can take a while for my Big Black Deck to get warmed up, but once it does, huge things come flying out of my Big Black Deck every turn. Once I get a Volrath out My Big Black Deck is just overpowering. What white weenie decks can compare to it?

Next time you're in a tournament I highly recommend you pull out YOUR Big Black Deck and take it for a spin. Oh, and don't play your Big Black Deck without sleeves, it gets all nasty with white marks all around the edges from shuffling. It's a small price to pay though for keeping your Big Black Deck unscathed throughout the tournament.
