Mikey P after his Vegas victory.Las Vegas, Nevada — Michael Pustilnik, better known as "Mikey P" or "Doctor P" among gamers, took home the top prize last weekend at GP Las Vegas. Mikey P rode his green/black deck, dubbed "The Rock and his Millions," to victory, defeating 3 non-blue decks in the top 8, despite having a dead card, Choke, in his main deck. Mikey P has been on a roll recently, with a Pro Tour Victory multiple Grand Prix championships under his belt.

Mikey P, 5 years ago.To bring his game to its current level of greatness, Mikey P claims that all he had to do was devote full attention to his Magic career.

This has certainly had a remarkable effect on his game, but it has hurt him in other areas. Most notably, Mikey P's film career has sunk to a dismal low since he has begun focusing completely on the game. Pustilnik's last feature film, "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves" was a dismal failure, paling in comparison to his previous works, like Ghostbusters, Little Shop of Horrors, and Space Balls.

Mikey P, 15 years ago.Was it his failure in his film career that prompted his devotion to Magic, or is it his devotion to Magic that prompted his theatrical bust?
