Mike Flores' Magic Vocabulary Continues to Impress Nobody

By: markdash - December 26, 2001

Despite his best attempts to the contrary, Sideboard.com writer Mike Flores has continued to impress nobody at all with his incredible array of Magic vocabulary.

Flores' latest article, "Know Your Role!", chronicling the success of the highly overrated deck "The Rock and his Millions," includes such phrases as "maximum redundancy," "mid-range utility deck," and "dedicated board position." Despite such groundbreaking intellectual terminology, his latest article impressed a whopping 0.8% of 1,027 Sideboard.com readers in a USA Today/Gallup Poll. Furthermore, only 12.7% of those polled found these phrases to be "mildly intriguing" or "with any merit whatsoever."

Magic afficionados around the globe were highly opinionated on the subject. Pro Tour Jerk Peter Szigeti commented, "Maximum Redundancy? I showed Flores' mom my maximum redundancy last night!" Bryan Hubble added, "Did you see the time that Flores got 9th at Nationals on tiebreakers? LOLOL!"
