Residents of Lund, Wien, extend thanks to Brian Kibler
Wien, Austria (MTN) – Residents of Wien, Austria today joined Pro Tour hopefuls in Lund, Anchorage, Sao Paolo, and Helsinki in expressing their appreciation to Brian Kibler for his timely analysis of the Supergrow Extended archetype.
I’m especially glad that Kibler waited until there were only 6 days left in the PTQ season before making public his guide to playing Supergrow," noted Claude Von Miserson, of Austria, "With only 5 PTQs remaining in the entire world for the rest of the season, Kibler’s article becomes extremely relevant, and I’m certain it will be poured over and examined by at least twelve or thirteen people."
Kibler himself was pleased at the outpouring of support from "at least six" individuals from four of the five areas that will be holding PTQs this weekend. "Everyone from Europe was great, and the guy from Alaska wanted to know if there should be any special modifications to the deck for competing in an estimated 20-25 person PTQ. I haven’t heard from anyone in Sao Paolo yet. I don’t think they have ‘The Internet’ there, so they’ll just have to wait until my article gets there via the Sideboard magazine. That should help them for the next extended season. What could really change with just three more sets, anyway?"
Bob Ghenti, a resident of Washington state, plans to travel to Anchorage for the PTQ to be held on January 27. "I’m not certain what Kibler meant by noting that his article would be helpful for the ‘last few weekends of qualifiers’ because as near as I can tell, the WOTC website only lists 5 PTQs occurring between the date his article went up, and the end of the extended season, which is in 6 days, and they are all on the same weekend. Kibler’s on the Pro Tour, though, so maybe he knows something I don’t." When approached with this concern, Kibler had the following to say, "blah blah blah DRAGONS blah blah blah I am the dragon master blah blah 6/6 blah blah dragons dragons look at me blah blah I like dragons. DRAGONS!! Blah blah Roooooooooaaaaaarrr!!!!! Blah blah blah…."
Kibler closed his extremely relevant article with the news that he’ll be taking a temporary break from ignoring all the email he gets by replying to anyone who might give him some "tech for Osaka", which he promises to write about well after the Pro Tour is over.
