Magic Online team announces, "Who needs server farms?"

By: Ass_Assterson - February 01, 2002

In an amazing announcement, the Magic Online team has put forth they don't need the large number of servers usually associated with online gaming. With a patented tcp/ip scheme known mysteriously as "overpricing," MO should be able to handle the entire user load with a mere two servers.

"We were originally only going to go with one, but we figured a second server dedicated to disconnecting users would ensure that the level of service doesn't change once the beta is over," said a tech in the middle of using a null-modem cable to connect the two machines. "I had wanted an Ethernet hub for the two machines, but management said it would eat into our profit margin too much."

We will be issuing updates on this story if anyone ever actually logs on to MO outside of Sabine Parish, Louisiana in the future.
