Sarah Hughes Tries to Explain her "Top-Deck"
Sarah Hughes tried to explain her "top-deck" to the Associated Press today. "It was right there when I needed it," she said. "I mean, I didn't think I had a chance, completely forgetting that that option was even there, but then I just drew it."
Michelle Kwan and Irina Slutskaya each attempted to explain their respective mana screws in the finals. "I couldn't believe it!" Exclaimed a despondant Kwan. "clearly my deck was better for the field, and i was beating her 9 of 10 in playtesting, all the judges saw that! God damned mana screw."
"This injustice wil not go unnoticed." Slutskaya remarked, adding that she would be petitioning the IOC to have the ruling reversed, or the competition redone, or the judges scores looked at again.
Judges are necessary for figure skating, because, after all, it is not a real sport.
The DCI noted that this is one of the craziest uses of "top-deck" since Bob Maher's Wife was introduced at PT-Madison, and since I did this.
