Fat Gamer Can't Wait Forever For Regionals
Houston, Tx. --- Thirty-two year old restaurant sanitation McCaptain Pete Ross, snacking on a Bucket O' Nuggets as he waited for the latest Qualifier for PT Nice to end, said he was going to "have a friggen heart attack" if he had to hear from his friend about how the tournament went.
"It's not that I don't like my friend, but constantly hearing about receiving "Faceless Butcherx2 AND a Hypnox or the amazing double Overrun game that he somehow won. Hey, at least he got 47th place last weekend." Ross looked around the hallway and snorted indignantly as a group of younger kids walked past him excitedly chattering away about trading for a "real Finkel!"
"I swear, it's the waitin' that's gonna kill me," said the 370-pound Ross, as crumbs fell aimlessly around his feet as he brushed off his shirt and tossed the bucket at the trash can , narrowly missing and landing near several half empty Mountain Dew and Red Bull cans littered throughout the hall of the Holiday Inn Governors Room. "C'mon! I don't have forever here!"
Ross is especially tense since he claims to have "super secret technology" that will "crush all those kids who show up" at his Regional Tournament. He stresses that this isn't some "internet crap that everyone can play" , but instead an original idea he has been working on for months.
"I can't say what it is exactly, but if you'll buy me a Snickers - I'll give you a hint." Without even waiting for my certain denial, he exclaimed "OK OK - It's Psychatog!" With that, he began to twirl around with a schoolgirl giddyness that a man of his stature and weak ankle support should not have attempted.
After he got back up and had time to catch his breath I asked if he had plans for the next month or so while the rest of the world is busied with, as he put it, "that Sealed Luck bullshit." Ross only shrugged and said something about catching up with his favorite strategy site - CCGprime.com and making sure that Wizard's of the Coast's You Make the Card contest ends up with "big fatty for eight mana, `cuz fatties rule!"
Regionals will be held on April 13th in most locations. Ross guarantees that if you plan on playing, you might run into him - so you'll need to "pack a lunch." Your guess is as good as this reporters as to wether he was being literal or not.
