The Magic Colony Part 2: Foreign Prison
Osaka, Japan - Three members of the famous Magic Colony experiment, disappointed by their poor performances in Pro Tour-Osaka decided they needed a second, stricter, more focused colony for Nice, and they needed it now. Dumping their fellow colony members, PTR Greg Rosebeary, and Chris Benafel formed their own fellowship in a second attempt to break the format.
As early as Friday night, knowing they would not play day 2 of Osaka, they began plans for securing their location of the second colony. They brought as many as 10 people into their room, amounted a huge bar tab, and all out trashed their expensive hotel room.
When Sunday night came, they attempted to pay for the room with a dead credit card. The card was declined; however, the hotel gave them a free room for the night so that they could clear up of the confusion. Instead, later that day they attempted to leave without paying, only to be stopped by the Japanese police and brought to a prison station for questioning.
The plan had worked! They would have a comfortable prison room to playtest in for the next, well 3 to 6 years. When asked why they would want to playtest in a prison, PTR commented “Hey, a Japanese prison is a step up from Wenatchee, Washington.”
Unfortunately, upon arriving at their future Colony site, they realized it was not as plush as they thought it would be, paid their hotel bills, and got the hell outta there.

At least get the story right you [expletive deleted].
The person who's CC booked the room lost his wallet, and in Japan they need an imprint of the CC on check in and check out. We lost it in Japan, so didn't have it on check out.
We went to jail, true. Everything was cleared up however, and after missing our flight because of our day in the slammer, the hotel gave us a free room and changed our travel plans for us. . .
