Good Man of the Week: Peter Szigeti

By: KK - April 01, 2002

The much maligned Peter Szigeti has done much for our beloved Magic community. It all began about 2 years ago when Peter was just imparting his wisdom to #mtgpro on mIRC.

One of his early projects in conjunction with RyanG, the Geddes Cooper fiasco, was criticized by some but widely appreciated by most.

This began a series of internet based attacks, the likes of which have been unparalleled in the Magic world. Though Benafel tried in his Invitational report.

Peter's rise to fame in the game it self began in Grand Prix Turin where, teamed with Dan Clegg and Brock Parker, he was able to take the crown.

He has managed to stay on the gravy train despite mediocre finishes in GPs, and is one of the top competitors on the money draft circuit.

Peter has filled the shoes of one Tom Guevin. Tom was the badass trash talker of days gone by, but has since lost his flare. Peter has taken up the slack and then some and has made Magic a truly colorful game.

For all these reasons, and one of the tackiest watches ever made, ptr is this week's GMOTW!
