Budde's Secret Revealed
ALGIERS (AP)- Evidence suggests that Kai Budde, considered the best Magic: the Gathering player in recent history, may have gotten his success from the German version of the world's most popular online auction site, EBay.
According to a conversation with EBay bidder Squeevolten, Europeans are naturally advantaged in the number one-selling Collectable Card Game from Wizards of the Coast, a recent conquest of the Second Holy Empire of Hasbro.
The advantage comes from the new European currency, the Euro. When the Euro was first issued, its value was roughly equal to that of the United States Dollar. However, due to such factors as the Continent not letting Britain join ("We really don't like them", the Andorran Prime Minister said Thursday), the value of the Euro has plummetted to only 80-90% of the US dollar, unbeknownst to at least four Germans.
What this means is that the non-English versions of high-value cards, such as 4 copies of Fact or Fiction are selling for as little as $2.40 American, or 60 cents each for the $3.00 card, on German Ebay.
President Bush has expressed his disgust with the situation.
"We must to all we can to help the American people in this time of great tragedems. We will fight this war against terrerism on all fronts, including the dubya-dubya-dubya." The president then returned to maintaining his extremely concerned eyebrows.
Germany did not react favorably to his comments.
"Ist jetzt die Zeit auf Sprockets, wann wir tanzen. Slayer ist am besten. Wir sind für Weltkrieg zwei sehr traurig. Wir haben die dritte beste Armee in der Welt. Kaufen Sie techno."
Bush is expected to declare war any second.
