Mike Bregoli,

I write this in reference to:

http://www.misetings.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=468&mode=&order=0

I read this article on your website, and I was not particularly amused. Now don't get me wrong: I can take tongue-in-cheek humour and I don't take
myself overly seriously, however this article, with an anonymous poster, was mostly false. I took no offense whatsoever to comments about my Magic playing career (since most of the Magic playing I do is not at sanctioned tournaments and I usually do my testing for my articles online), and any backlash from this to my articles is of no great worry to me. Magic is a hobby for me, not something which I would consider a career or anything.

Even false allegations of cheating at a tournament which I didn't even attend is of no great worry to me (especially since it was referenced to by
a 3rd person who I know to not have the best of memories). What I DO take great offense to is comments which could be damaging to one of my jobs. This is as a freelance DJ. The comment in question is:

"Perth's burgeoning rave scene attracted Bright, who was working on mixing music at home in his spare time. Despite never having an actual gig, Bright has nevertheless become very well known in the industry."

I can provide Australian Tax Office records to prove that I have been payed for 14 "gigs" since the beginning of this financial year. I am currently
under consideration for a lucrative DJing position and this kind of defamation of character is defintely not appreciated. I would request a
editting of this section of the article so as to remove such defamation which is not at all associated with Magic the Gathering, or humour. While I don't appreciate the false annecdote earlier in the article, I can see some relevance to the nature of your site, so I have no desire to see this changed.

I'm sorry if this has seemed a little harsh or demanding, as I do appreciate the nature of your site as a source of humour and when the jokes aren't harmful to more than my pride, I have no objection to being the butt of a joke.

Regards

Jarrod Bright

[editor's note] Jarrod, it seems that the person who submitted this article may have had some facts mixed up. I humbly apologize for this misunderstanding, and appreciate your time to bring it to light. The article will be edited to reflect the fact that you have indeed had several "gigs" as a freelance DJ.

We at MiseTings wish you the best of luck in your DJ career.
