While the card Deep Analysis has seen more frequent use lately in the Type II and Odyssey Block environment, especially considering its powerful effect versus Control decks, one Magic player named Kush Patel has become a little obsessed with the card after winning the New England Championship with several copies of the card in his heavily metagamed Psychatog deck.

In fact, we have an exclusive interview with Mr. Patel, in which he extolls his immense love for the card that gives him more pleasure when facing down the mirror match than anything else, a card he affectionately refers to as "Deep Anal."

MiseTings (MT): "So when did you first realize that the card was some unused tech?"
Kush Patel (KP): "Well, I cannot say my first experience with Deep Anal was a good one. In fact, even my Flashbacks of the event now bring about Painful Memories. However, when I was exposed to it more frequently, I began to realize the full potential for greatness. I read reports of some using Deep Anal and Wild Mongrel in combination, and I began to wonder if it was any good. I started out using Merfolk Looter, as he was able to perform an Obsessive Search, which accelerated the use of Deep Anal. However, my savage Deep Anal, when combined with the Looter's effective abilities, often resulted in its Agonizing Demise. I then decided to change to Psychatog, and I've never looked back."

MT: "What brought about the decision to use it?"
KP: "Well, I began to have an Aggressive Urge to use Deep Anal. You might call it a Burning Wish. Unfortunately, my opponents often mistook this for a Death Wish, and attempted some kind Evasive Action when I used Deep Anal. This occured until I became more experienced, and was able to Gainsay their Fervent Denial."

MT: "How do you force it through?"
KP: "I often subject my opponents to extreme Duress before using Deep Anal, and they are unable to Disrupt it. Also, despite my opponents' resistance, they are usually subjected to a Flashback of Deep Anal, and after I Traumatize them, they are helpless to defend themselves. Also, I like to use my Force Spike to back it up."

MT: "Have you discovered any problems with it?"
KP: "Well, of course my opponents often have a Backlash to my use of Deep Anal, but I am usually able Confound my opponent's attempts to stop my Deep Anal. Also, many often Gainsay my attempts at Deep Anal, but when combined with the following Memory Lapse, their denial is all but forgotten. As you can see, the tremendous advantages of Deep Anal simply outweigh its difficulties in dealing with certain opponents."

MT: "Well, Mr, Patel, thank you for your time. Do you possibly have any last comments for our readers?"
KP: "I would just like to say that I am so very pleased with my experiences using Deep Anal, this it has become my Inspiration. I take every Opportunity to use Deep Anal, even if I must attempt to Peek and see my opponent's Mudhole before I Probe it away."
