The Count Wins Brainburst Daily Giveaway

By: CubsWoo - July 05, 2002

SESAME STREET, USA - Educator, part-time numerologist and upstart strategy writer Count Von Count was recently chosen as the winner of Brainburst's July Daily Giveaway. Beating out articles on draft strategy by 9th place Nationals finisher Ken Krouner and a sharply written piece on Red-Green in Odyssey Block, Count's "Judgment! Ah! Ah! Ah!" was well-recieved by the editorial staff. The Count is best known for his former literary works, namely "Count with the Count" and "The Count Counts a Party."

"Judgment! Ah! Ah! Ah!," a riveting look at the card order of Wizards' new 153-card expansion, is already being compared to the finest articles of The Dojo in its heyday. "Strategy such as 'Guiltfeeder! Card number 6! 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! Ah! Ah! Ah!' and 'Three firecats on Firecat Blitz! Three!' made today's choice simple." Editor Scott Johns was quoted on the Brainburst Forums. "The length of the article is revolutionary too. Normally only three to four pages of filler are necessary to win the giveaway, but Mr. Von Count has taken it to an art form. We feel he is well on his way to winning additional prize money for being the best article of the month."

The Count's article, one hundred and eighty-four pages in length, repeats identical text eight times. A "Let's count them again!" precedes each new pasting of the strategy.

When asked what he would do with his winnings, Mr. Von Count used the $25 to purchase a six-month subscription to Brainburst Premium and one hundred copies of Sengir Bats. He abruptly ended the interview to retire to his castle and count said copies, along with his dishes, brooms, cobwebs, party hats, accordians, and coffins.

In a related story, Frankenstein's Monster is reportedly finishing "Ice good, FIRE BAD," his in-depth analysis of the Apocalypse split card. Tonto and Tarzan were not available for comment.
