Good Man of the Week: Adrian Sullivan

By: KK - July 29, 2002

Adrian Sullivan has been called many things. This week he will be called Good Man of the Week.

The first time I met Adrian Sullivan he was in Syracuse covering a random PTQ in Urza’s constructed. My opponent was cheating savagely in the finals. I don’t think Alex Anderson is a cheater; he was just pretty incompetent and accidentally drew 2 extra cards in game 3. Despite getting caught on both of these instances the penalty was a warning and he went to the PT instead of me. While Adrian was not judging and had no say in the ruling. He consoled me and we chatted and have been friends ever since.

At GP Boston I stayed at becky^’s apartment with Adrian and he did his best to hit on both of us all weekend. I think it was likely a goof with me, but I took it as a compliment.

Lately, as Ed Fear’s teammate of choice, Adrian has been poking his little body around my parts. It has been great having him here as he is one of the best constructed minds in the game, if not the best. But most of all, he is good times. I put him up in my house and chat the night away.

Adrian, on his most recent trip, decided to reward my hospitality by running my car out of gas and possibly damaging the engine. It is nice to know that I have friends like these who really come through in the pinch. I’d be lost with out him and so would the PT.

So for being the most underrated theorist in the game today, and ruining my dad’s car for him and his children, Adrian Sullivan it this week’s Good Man of the Week!
