Good Man of the Week: Ed Fear

By: KK - August 06, 2002

And now we have our first ever two time Good Man of the Week. Ed Fear was concerned when he heard about the Magic: The Gathering World Championships being held in Sydney, Australia. While it is important to cater to the massive 5 player market in this smallest of continents, Ed felt that the drop off in attendance would be staggering.

Ed thought long and hard about how to remedy this situation. He finally decided he would start his own charity for poor gamers. Yours truly was the first lucky recipient of Mr. Fear’s altruism. After finding out that my original plans for a ticket fell through, I got a call at 3am informing me that I now had a ticket to the land of the dingo.

Many other gamers have put into the “Save the Gamers Fund” started by Ed. The second to receive this privilege was previous Good Man of the Week recipient Brian Hegstad. The most recent addition was Neil Reeves. JT Money is one of the best this country has to offer, having him skip worlds would be a travesty.

Next in the queue is Dan Clegg. Dan Clegg has managed to misplace all of his wins from last season and is in need of a ticket to Australia.

Should anyone wish to contribute to the “Save the Gamers Fund” you may contact Mr. Fear through me at kenkrouner@yahoo.com. Applications for funding may also be directed to this address.

So for single handedly trying to save the Pro Tour, Ed Fear is once again Good Man of the Week!
