Onslaught Spoiler is Fake

By: slanter - September 25, 2002

RENTON, WA -- Breaking their previous policy of pretending spoilers don't exist, Wizards of the Coast announced today that the Onslaught spoiler featured on most prominent websites is completely fake.

Content Directory of Magicthegathering.com Aaron Forsythe made the following statement:

Wizards of the Coast has authorized me to inform you that the Onslaught spoiler you may have seen is an intentionally leaked decoy. My corporate overlords also wish it known that we screwed you all over. Fools! We have you running around, building decks and making Apprentice patches for cards that will never see print!

The phony spoiler was given as bait to the employee suspected of leaking the cards, who has since been sacked, and then drawn and quartered. Take that, you commie bastards!

Unfortunately, our legal department is also making me tell you that the original spoiler file and and the Apprentice patch we've secretly circulated contain extremely powerful viruses. They are currently sending us your credit card numbers so that we can help you buy large Magic Online collections of the real Onslaught set, and will also wipe your entire company servers on Prerelease day.

\/\/0TC 0n\/\/z j00!

mtgnews.com fervently denied the statement as just a desperate smokescreen. However, later today, their site was reportedly hacked and replaced with a huge picture of a grinning and hungry Juzam Djinn. Apparently, they are indeed ownzed.
