Bleiweiss To Write Great American Novel
Ben Bleiweiss, famed author of the critically acclaimed short story, I'll Bet a Hundred Words Per Card That These'll All See Play In The New Extended, has decided to expand the story into the Great American Novel, tentatively titled "18,000 Words". Details can be found here.
The storyline, while not final, is expected to revolve around a little-known but culturally significant group: white cards. He will then expound on the insignificance of each underachieving member of the tribe, such as Wave of Reckoning and Sacred Guide, while ignoring completely the more impressive and accomplished brethren of this group, such as Phantom Nishoba.
This twist on normal writing technique has been hailed as brilliant by a number of critics. The Ferrett, editor of Bleiweiss' publishing house StarCityGames, was quoted as saying "Yeah, this'll be better than Moby Dick. And a delightful pain in the ass to edit."
Bleiweiss said he did not expect to be writing the Great American Novel. "I expect to write maybe...five hundred-word[s]," he wrote in his now-infamous short story. He appeared to be unaware of the number of characters he would soon add to his book.
The Novel is nearly complete and is expected to be released within the year. Anticipation is very high. An anonymous internet critic was quoted as saying "Yeah, I can't wait for Bleiweiss's masterwork to come out. 18,000 words of utter bullshit. It'll be incredible."
