Kai Ruins Well-Laid Plans

By: Anonymous - January 16, 2003

** SLUDGE REPORT **

In recent news, German Juggernaut Kai Budde doomed the well-laid plans of Mark "MaRo" Rosewater of Wizards R&D. While Rosewater had planned to talk about Legions "all-creatures-no-spells" gimmick in his MagictheGathering.com column next week, Kai spilled the beans in his most recent Sideboard article, confirming that Legions indeed contains only creature cards.

"That the set Legions contains only creatures and not a single spell certainly makes mass removal effects even more powerful."

This comes on the heels of an extraordinary blunder by Rosewater in his most recent column, causing the man to further question his own worth as a human being.

IRC rumor-mongers and Gary Wise have speculated that the German is bitter after winning a mere one Pro Tour in the past 12 months, and so has decided to exact a perverse sort of revenge on all WotC employees. Is Rosewater only the first of many?

Only time will tell.
