DCI Wipes PTR Out After Latest Antics

On the evidence of GP San Diego amateur video footage and the damning testimony from the three Pro Tour regulars, PTR was always likely to be found guilty. The length of his sentence seen as the only contentious matter. In the end, the DCI had little trouble differentiating between "wiping his butt" and "an innocent windmill slam that detoured around the rear end" before finding PTR guilty.
DCI judiciary commissioner Mike Donais described PTR's case as the worst he had experienced in his 8-year involvement in the DCI. "I've never come across a more disgusting allegation than I've had to deal with now," he said.
PTR was found guilty on three separate counts of deliberately sticking his cards up his rear end in Saturday's match at the Grand Prix. PTR, a writer for TOGIT, insisted he was merely trying to give his opponent a laugh before smashing his face in with a topdecked Bosh, Iron Golem.
Asked by his counsel Robert Lawing where he placed the Bosh before activating Bosh's ability and killing Bowman, his 4th round opponent, PTR replied: "Between my ass and my nuts." PTR maintained he did nothing wrong in administering the beating and went on to say: "I'm a great believer in what happens at a tournament should stay there."
Asked to describe what cramming Bosh into his cheeks felt like, the acerbic PTR replied: "You get a burning sensation."
PTR's defense counsel contended to Donais that his client had merely administered a "humorous windmill slam" on Bowman in the second game of the match.
"It wasn't a windmill slam. That's when your opponent slaps the card down on the table. I think I know the difference between a windmill slam and someone sticking a card up their ass," said Jones, admitting that while either of those acts would have caused him discomfort, this caused him a bit of embarrassment also.
Bowman said he hadn't provoked PTR and that afterwards he immediately expressed his "disgust" and called the judge.
Bowman claims after beating PTR in the first game, he mentioned the Searing Flesh incident from a previous tournament, but PTR just laughed and said, "you haven't seen anything yet."
Lawing argued that Bowman had been excessive in trying to slow roll PTR at the end of game one, by attacking him with only Tel-Jalid Chosen instead of sending the team in, when PTR had no cards in hand, and no creatures in play.
When pressed by Donais, Bowman became angry and asked him: "If I beat you with my Chosen, would that give you the right to wipe your ass with a card?"
Under the headline "The sickest thing in sport? Pro Tour Bad Boy is accused of going up and under with fingers," Sideboard reporter Josh Bennet wrote in a feature article:
"There was Massimo Esposito's assault. Kurt Hahn got in on the act by throwing a juice bottle. But sport can rarely have had such a bizarre charge as that leveled at Pro Tour rapscallion Peter Szigeti. Who knows what cards Fifth Dawn will bring, but be assured - PTR will find a way to wipe his ass with one of them."
