Q: I'm wondering what would happen if an Auriok Bladewarden had a negative power when its ability is activated or resolved.
A: You really don't want to know what happens. To protect your sanity from the Lovecraftian horrors that this would summon, MODO will kindly cancel your game.
Q: I accidentally clicked OK without selecting a target for Fireball. Is there any way I can back up?
A: Yes. MODO will kindly restart the game you are in, so that your Fireball can eventually be cast in the correct manner.
Q: How much life do I gain if I Chastise a creature with -2 power?
A: Chastise causes you to gain life equal to the creature's power. In this case, the power is negative, so you would lose 2 life.
Q: I have Future Sight, Skirk Prospector, and a Darksteel Colossus that thinks it's a Goblin. What happens when I sacrifice the Colossus for mana?
A: Because this is a mana source, MODO will let you back up to the state just before you sacrificed the Colossus. As such, the first step is to go through your entire deck and memorize the exact position of every card in the deck. Then, you shuffle the deck with Colossus. Then you reveal the top card of your deck to Future Sight, with one red mana floating in your mana pool. If you want to undo, just get the Colossus out of the deck and rearrange it to how you memorized it.
Q: I just played someone in the Open format, and their deck had 40 Shocks in it! Is this legal?
A: People who abuse the Open format to create decks that have 4 or more of the same card are EVIL and will be hunted down like the scummy vermin that they are. Please report them to an adept as soon as you see this behavior.
Q: I was wondering how Magic Online is going to handle Relentless Rats? You can't add more than 4 of the same card in the deck editor.
A: Shit. I mean... Magic Online developers are pleased to announce that Open is now not just for testing sealed or limited decks. You can now add more than 4 of a card to a constructed deck, but the deck will only be legal in the Open format. MODO hopes that you enjoy this new and exciting format. You evil scummy vermin.
Q: How does Grim Reminder work? Last time I tried to use it nothing happened.
A: Grim Reminder asks that you show the same card from your deck that your opponent used. This requires it to be the EXACT same card. MODO recommends you only cast Grim Reminder when the spell your opponent played gets shuffled into your deck.
Q: I cast Barter in Blood when I have two Rotlung Reanimators in play. How many Zombie tokens do I get?
A: Three. Barter in Blood asks for two separate sacrifices to be made, and those happen sequentially, not simultaneously.
Also, tokens going to the graveyard lose their color.
Q: I have Serra Avatar and Platinum Angel in play, and am -5 life. How big is my Serra Avatar?
A: Bah, you can't be at negative life. TRICK QUESTION!
Q: I tried to activate my Leonin Bola on a creature that wasn't summoning sick, but the ability just wouldn't work correctly. What was I doing wrong?
A: In order to make Leonin Bola work correctly, you have to enter in UUDDLRLRBA in the chat window before using it. This is a known bug and will be solved shortly.
Q: Rune Horvik once answered how 0 life and Murderous Betrayal interacted. I was wondering how it worked with -1 and -2 life.
A: Look, stop giving me these obviously impossible questions involving having 0 or less life. READ THE FUCKING RULEBOOK! YOU DIE AT ZERO. DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!
Q: I activated Mindslaver, but I couldn't do anything during my opponent's upkeep! What's wrong with this card?
A: Mindslaver causes you to control your opponent's next turn. However, it is considered to be your turn. MODO hopes this clears up any confusion.
Q: My opponent mana burned in my end step to set up a triple Pulse of the Forge to kill me! And I wasn't allowed to respond or even notice the mana burn! Is this the way it's supposed to work?
A: Yes. Adding mana to your mana pool doesn't use the stack, and can never be responded to or noticed.
Q: I'm a bit confused with how Grab the Reins works with entwine? Is the first target I select the one I'm stealing, or is it the second one? And how do I tell after I cast the spell?
A: Fucking lucksack noob. Your deck would be SOOOOOOOOO awful if you didn't have that goddamn card. I can't believe I just lost to a guy running two Clockwork Beetles.
Q: Is there any way to take back playing a land?
A: No Kibler, there isn't.
Whoops.
