Lost Rumor Season Rediscovered
In a press release earlier today, Wizards of the Coast revealed that certain unnamed members of their Research and Development team have uncovered the legendary "lost" Coldsnap rumor season.

"Deep down, far below R&D, there are secret caves filled with locked file cabinets. The legendary file cabinets of Richard Garfield himself!" announced Mark Rosewater, Lead Magic Designer. "Here, underneath a decade of dust, we found the lost rumor season of Coldsnap."

Rosewater continued with the reason for it's disappearance - internal politics had forced the season to be shelved and replaced instead with unpopular lawsuits. Yet now, with the entire set released, Wizards of the Coast has decided to correct history and give the rumor season its day in the sun.

"We have plans to 'spoil' a few cards a day to popular MagicTM websites right through August. Of course, these will all be 'spoiled' in the correct order that our Marketing department has determined to produce the greatest amount of excitement," Rosewater added. "Unsupervised spoilers ruin the fun for everyone, especially me, which is why this discovery is so important! We will be running the rumor season the way it should be done. My way."

Wizards even plans to add a new column to their Magic: The GatheringTM website, titled: The Rumor Factory. It will release all approved rumor information, as well as hype on how each and every card will break Standard wide open.

"And remember: Time Spiral is released October 6th, with the official rumor season starting on the 7th!"
