Mirrodin
Far
from Dominaria, in a distant corner of the Multiverse,
lies Mirrodin, a plane made entirely
of metal. Blades of golden grass in the Razor Fields
chime in the wind. Huge misshapen boulders are magnetically
suspended above the peaks of rusted iron mountains.
Elsewhere, a wide sea of silvery liquid reflects the
sky like a rippled mirror. On the horizon, four suns
rise and set in strange orbits: white, blue, red,
and a black sphere of blah, blah, blah. It is here
that Magic finds a unique story involving metal grass.

Exclusive
Mirrodin Interview |
Behind the Mirrored Din
On September 19th, I
had the privilege of meeting with two employees of
Wizards of the Coast over lunch. One was a member
of the design team for Mirrodin, and the
other was on the development team. On condition of
anonymity, each agreed to speak with me and provide
a revealing glimpse into the development of Mirrodin. |
Mirrodin is Biggest Virus of All
The Mirrodin virus
that overwhelmed internet forums around the world
is one of the fastest growing viruses ever. The virus
is said to have been started by malicious hackers
posing as ‘n00bs’ in Magic: the Gathering
forums.

Promotional
Cards now 60% 1337er
In
his final article as Magicthegathering.com’s
chief content adviser, Wizards of the Coast employee
Aaron Forsythe let slip that all promotional cards
for the ’04 season, because of the heavy technological
influence of the Mirrodin block, will have
card text printed partially in 1337. |

Clarify Mindslaver Rules
Renton,
WA -- The attention of the casual Magic community
is being called to a small but important section of
the new Mirrodin rules concerning Mindslaver,
a powerful rare artifact that promises to be useful
if your opponent needs a break from thinking through
his actions. |

Apocalypseblade Preview
Nothing
makes me more indescribably excited than to reveal
another tiny element of my ultimate masterpiece of
game design: Mirrodin. While some are ruining
the fun of Mirrodin -- and Magic: The Gathering
as a whole -- for everyone by leaking card information
in the form of partial spoiler lists, they certainly
aren't as intimately familiar with my precious child
as I am. |
The
New Look of Mirrodin
In
today's Magic Arcana, the 'Style Guides' from Mirrodin
were showcased. The Arcana goes on to preview three
artifacts that best showcase the new style- two of
them 'fixed' versions of classic artifacts, and the
third a brand new Mirrodin artifact. |
Mirrodin Community Issues |
Mirrodin and The State of Magic
Magic:
the Gathering is no longer a domain trodden solely
by the unwashed masses. Ever so slowly, zit-farming
young dorks are starting to shower and acquire girlfriends.
The effect is that those girls are unconsciously starting
to bring the game into what’s considered mainstream. |
